AHD conducted an assessment of the area both in camps and host communities to learn about the needs of the IDPs and initiate efforts to respond accordingly. AHD’s team visited camps and had focused group discussion among host communities. The assessment tools included direct observation, meetings with stakeholders, questionnaire, and focused group discussions, collection of water samples and testing and review of assessment reports by others.

The purpose of the water coolers distribution is to provide access to safe and clean drinking water to their women and children.

The 10 trainings on Nadi filter promotion conducted in 10 UCs through the local CBOs in between partnership with CHIP organization working in selected areas since last many years. The participants selected 20 in each CBO and called to attend the workshops in each CBO 50% IDPs participated and learn the safe and clean drinking water technology at their door step

AHD team conducted 10 awareness workshops in 10 Union Councils of Swabi district is to promote awareness on health & hygiene in women and children and to minimize their health related problems. The safe and clean drinking water measures also discussed with the women during sessions and majority of the participant’s shows their interested to learn more about the safe drinking Nadi filter units.
