AHD aims to raise awareness, take practical and positive action on the range of environmental issues as well as working to save the poor rural women from smoke, lands from degradation and salinity. The continuous pesticide sprays on the agricultural crops do not only pollute the crops but the man spraying the pesticide is also badly affecting himself and along with his family.
Environment pollution is the big problem for Pakistan and increasing day by day. Air Pollution, Water Pollution and wastages of the hospitals and industries are increasing pollution into the environment. In Pakistan there is no systematic approach to handle the above mentioned issues. In this regard there is need to create awareness regarding the environmental issues. Thus AHD staff is working with grass root communities for the tree plantation, safe drinking water, fuel-efficient stove cooking technology and other awareness projects among the rural and marginalized communities.
