Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD)
Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD) is a
Civil Society Organization was established in December 2001-2002 and
registered under the Societies Registration Act: XXI of 1860
Registration #. 4091. The main objective of the AHD is to work for the
peace, justice, harmony and equality through the participation of most
disadvantaged and vulnerable communities towards sustainable
development as a whole. At present AHD is working in 10 villages of
Jati area and promoting women health through integrated environment
conservation project supported by WWF-Pakistan and organized women
groups to form CBOs/SHG for the development of poor rural communities.
The priority working area of AHD is Thatta district from the year
2005-2006. The Thatta district most deprived and marginalized area
with less infrastructure and education and health facilities by Govt.
The irrigation water, health, education and safe drinking water are
the basic problems of the communities.
In the 5th board meeting of the AHD it was decided to start women
health, adult education and safe drinking water activities in Badin,
Tharparkar and Hyderabad districts.
Vision
Peace, justice, unity and harmony for all and to ensure
availability of food and equal distribution of natural resources for
the marginalized communities of Pakistan.
Mission
AHD commits itself to develop the community where all the human beings
are equal; they are not discriminated on any basis. They must enjoy
social, economical, cultural and political rights for enrichment of
their lives.
Goal
To plan and implement the awareness programs and development projects
on the need basis from the grass root level communities for the
Formation of male & female cooperative societies.
