On the call of Global Giving Association for Humanitarian Development submitted a Project on “Fuel Efficient Stove for 1000 families in Pakistan”.

Summary
Women in rural areas using wood for cooking purposes and their traditional stove danger, women healing smoke and facing hygienic problems. Fuel Efficient stove provides them safe cooking environment
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Women using wood for cooking purposes and inhaling smoke during cooking, more wood use for fire damages their health, hygiene and environment destruction. Women bearing burden collecting wood from outside for their traditional stove. Women & children health and increase in CO2 gases. Wood used for cooking purposes also results cutting of more trees, which directly damaging climate change. 1,000 families’ daily using 10,000 kg wood and about 50% wood will be saved 5,000kg by fuel efficient stoves
Activities
- Selection of poor 20 villages where using wood for fire or cooking purpose
- Selection of most poor 1,000 families
- Fuel Efficient stove 20 trainings for 600 village community members to trained them and further they will make help to the
- Procurement of 1,000 chimneys and distribution among the selected families for save cooking environment
- Formation of 20 village women groups for the health & hygiene awareness promotion
- Each family will be provided with the 20 trees to plan on their agricultural lands total 20,000 trees will be planted to promote
- Monthly visits will be conducted in 20 villages to form and total 240 visits will be conducted in 20 villages for 1,000 families
- Update monthly reports will be submitted to the Global Giving and donors as well
Potential Long Term Impact
Women learn the technique of making fuel efficient stoves - Rural women health will be improved through safe cooking environment - 50% wood from burning will be saved on daily basis - Tree plantation will increase, greenery and environment
