 Association
for Humanitarian Development (AHD) is a Civil Society
Organization was established in December 2001 and registered under the
Societies Registration Act: XXI of 1860. The main objective of the
AHD is to work for the peace, justice, harmony and equality
through the participation of most disadvantaged and marginalized
communities for the sustainability as a whole. The initial activities
of the AHD in the year 2001 to 2002 were awareness seminars,
meetings, workshops and eye camps to promote primary health care of
women and child, crop production and protection, sustainable vegetable
cultivation, tree plantation among the poor farming communities of
Hyderabad, Thatta and districts of Sindh. In the second board meeting
of the association in September 2002 it was planned to work on the
five priority programs of AHD, which are Human &
Institutional Development Program, Sustainable
Agriculture Development Program, Women
Empowerment Program, Environment Development
and Health Development Program.
